The System Sensor 100 series is a series of conventional detectors.

History

The 100 series was released in 1993 with the 1151 and 2151 as a lower profile alternative to the 400 series that had common housing for photoelectric and ionization smoke detectors.

In 1996, System Sensor introduced the 2100, 2100T, 2112/24B, and 2112/24TB as replacements for the 2300 series. The non-thermal models resembled the 2151, and the thermal models had a similar thermistor design to the 3251. The 2112/24TSRB, 1100, and 1112/24B were also introduced at this time.

In 1997,^{[citation needed]} System Sensor introduced Code 3 sounder models of the photoelectric detectors to replace the 400 series sounder models. Unlike the 400 series isolated thermal models, the 2112/24AITR did not provide any contacts for the photoelectric sensor.

The Direct-Wire photoelectric detectors were discontinued in 2003 due to the release of the i³ series.

The 1151 was discontinued between 2004 and 2005. Consumers were instructed to switch to the 1451.

In 2006, the 2151 was redesigned to resemble the 2251B. The 2151T was also introduced at this time as a conventional version of the 2251TB. These new models use the i³ SENS-RDR for sensitivity testing instead of the MOD400R.

The 5151 heat detector was released in 2011 as a replacement for the 5451.
