The System Sensor Mini-Alert series is a series of mini-horns and strobes.
History
The Mini-Alert series initially consisted of the PA400 mini-horns and the PS412/424 add-on strobes that could be applied to these devices. Around 1993, System Sensor replaced these PS strobes with 1.5 and 15 candela strobes corresponding to the new strobes in the Signal Strobe series.
In 1995, mini-horn strobes with ADA strobes were released.[3] These had the strobes placed similar to the Retro-Plate series, but the device was more compact, similar to the Wheelock MIZ-24-HSW-HFR. The series also featured a new PS-FP universal mounting plate that allowed the devices to mount to double gang and 4-inch square backboxes. The horn strobes could be mounted to single gang backboxes on their own or with the PS-FP.
The ADA horn strobes and 15 candela strobes were discontinued between 1999 and 2000 due to the release of the SpectrAlert series.[4][5] The low candela strobes were discontinued by 2002.[6] Finally, the mini-horns were discontinued in 2007 due to the release of the SpectrAlert Advance mini-horns.[7][8]
