The BRK 800 series was a series of smoke alarms and conventional system smoke detectors. The system smoke detectors are also known under the System Sensor brand name.
History
The 800 series was introduced in 1978 with low-current 4-wire ionization smoke detectors.[1] The 2851 was introduced in 1982 as an alternative to the 2751 without field-adjustable sensitivity, and the 2800 was introduced at the same time.[2]
In 1984, the System Sensor division of BRK formed and became responsible for the 800 series system smoke detectors. Around this time, duct detectors were introduced.[3]
