The System Sensor 2300 series is a series of photoelectric smoke detectors.

History

The 2300 series originally consisted of the 2300T and 2312/24T.[1] The design was a more compact version of the 2400 series with replaceable thermistors to the sides of the photoelectric sensor. These original detectors featured pigtail leads.

In 1993, System Sensor introduced the 2300TB and 2312/24TB.[2] These models used terminal blocks, and the thermistors were no longer replaceable. Unlike the 2312/24T, the 2312/24TB did not have an auxiliary relay.

At the end of 1993, System Sensor introduced the 2300B and 2312/24B as non-thermistor versions of the 2300TB and 2312/24TB respectively.[3]

The 2300 series was discontinued in 1996 due to the release of Direct-Wire models in the 100 series.
