The Faraday 6200 series is a series of DC electromechanical horns.

History

The 6200 series was released in 1993 with a new contactless horn that was more durable than the 6100 series horn.[1] The original 6220 had a similar modular design to the 6100 series.

In 1995, Faraday released the 6226, 6227, and 6228 horn strobes.[2] These were less modular, but they featured screw terminals for the strobes.[3] There was also the 6224, which was a surface mount horn without a strobe.[4]

In 1998, these horns were replaced with a Faraday-branded version of the U-HN and U-HNH.

Gentex

The Gentex GM series horns consist of a 6220B-0-0-24-DC with a cover plate and optional strobe manufactured by Gentex.[9][10]

Siemens

The second generation of 6200 series horns was also sold under the Siemens brand as part of the U series.

Simplex

Simplex rebranded the 6200 series remote horns as part of the 4901 series. The horns were available with either a unique grille from Simplex or with the original Faraday grille. Horn strobes were also available with a grille and strobe from Simplex as part of the 4903 series.
