The Wheelock HSW series is a series of wall-mount 110 candela remote strobes and strobe plates. The strobe was also available on the MIZ mini-horn.

History

The HSW series was released together with the LS series and MS series between 1993 and 1994 to meet the UL 1971 light distribution requirements in sleeping areas.[1][2] The strobe was horizontal, and it was thicker than the LS and MS strobes. Because of this, HSW combination strobes were not produced for most devices, and customers were instructed to instead use the HSPW-24-HFR strobe plate.[3] The only HSW combination strobe produced was the MIZ-24-HSW-HFR, since the MIZ-24 could not be mounted to an HSPW strobe plate.[4]

In 1995, the RS and RSP were released, rendering the HSW remote strobes and strobe plates obsolete. The MIZ-24-HSW-HFR was soon discontinued and replaced with the AS-24110-HFR, giving the HSW series a very short lifespan.
