The Honeywell Farenhyt series is a series of addressable panels and devices.
History
The Silent Knight Farenhyt program was introduced in 1999 as a network of ESDs for Silent Knight products. The program originally included the IFP-1000 FACP and 4821 security panel.[1] The original IFP-1000 was similar to the IntelliKnight 5820XL, but it could be expanded to a maximum of 8 SLCs.[2]
In 2001, Silent Knight introduced the IFP-100 as a Farenhyt version of the 5808.[3][4]
In 2003, Silent Knight introduced the IFP-50 as a Farenhyt version of the 5700.[5]
In 2004, Silent Knight introduced the IFP-100VIP and IFP-1000VIP as alternatives to the IFP-100 and IFP-1000 with voice evacuation capabilities.[6]
In February 2006, the Farenhyt panels were updated to support System Sensor notification appliance synchronization. A USB port was also added to the panels.[7]
In March 2006, the panels were updated to support Intelligent Device Protocol (IDP) detectors and modules. Although these devices used the FlashScan protocol, the standard SLCs only supported up to 99 detectors and 99 modules, and the IFP-50 supported up to 50 detectors and 50 modules.
In June 2006, the IFP-Net system was introduced.
In September 2008, the IFP-2000 and IFP-2000VIP were introduced.[8] The SLCs on these panels only supported IDP devices, but each SLC could have a maximum of 159 detectors and 159 modules.[9] A maximum of 8 of these panels could be networked together, and the RFP-2000 and RFP-2000VIP were introduced as non-display versions of these panels for networked applications.
In March 2010, the IFP-25 was introduced as the Farenhyt version of the Honeywell HFS panel.[10]
In June 2011, the IFP-FFT was introduced.[11]
In June 2013, the IFP-2000VIP was replaced with the IFP-2000ECS.[12]
In June 2017, the Farenhyt series was relabeled under Honeywell as the Farenhyt Series Black was announced.[13]
In late 2017, the Farenhyt Series Black panels were introduced, including the IFP-75, IFP-300, and IFP-2100.[14] The IFP-25 was discontinued around this time.
In February 2023, the IFP-2000, IFP-2000ECS, and various legacy replacement boards were discontinued.[15]
