The Silent Knight IntelliKnight series was a series of addressable panels and accessories.
History
The IntelliKnight series was introduced in 1997.[1] The series originally consisted of the 5820 panel and 5815 SLC expander for a total of 3 SLCs, as well as the 5824 and 5880.[2] The SLCs required SD series devices, which were simultaneously released.
Later in 1997, Silent Knight introduced the 5860 annunciator and 5590/5595 software tools.[3]
In 1999, Silent Knight replaced the 5820 with the 5820XL.[4]
In 2001, the 5808 was introduced as a single SLC version of the 5820XL.[5]
In 2002, the capacity of the 5820XL was expanded to allow for a fourth SLC.
In 2003, the 5700 was introduced as a smaller panel with a 50 point SLC.[6]
In 2009, the IntelliKnight panels were updated to support the SK series detectors and modules from System Sensor, similar to the Farenhyt series.[7] Although these devices used the FlashScan protocol, the standard SLCs only supported up to 99 detectors and 99 modules, and the 5700 supported up to 50 detectors and 50 modules.
In March 2010, the 5600 was introduced as Silent Knight's version of the Honeywell HFS panel.[8]
In 2018, the IntelliKnight series was replaced with the 6000 series.
5860 annunciator
The 5860 is an annunciator compatible with most modern addressable Silent Knight FACPs, and comes in red (5860R) and light gray[9] (5860) models. The 5860 emulates the panels front LCD, allowing the user to control the entire system from the annunciator, including programming. Newer models use the Honeywell logo instead of the Silent Knight logo.
The 5860 is compatible with IntelliKnight, Farenhyt, and 6000 series panels.
