The Gamewell-FCI 600 series was a series of panels originally developed by The Gamewell Company.

History

The 600 series was introduced by The Gamewell Company in 1994 with a new SmartStart™ autoprogramming feature.[1][2] The original series consisted of the Flex 620, IdentiFlex 630, and IdentiFlex 650, and the IdentiFlex models used the XP95 addressable protocol.

In 1998, Gamewell introduced the AM-500 card for IdentiFlex 650 systems to simplify replacements for the Flex 500. The card ran the same Cerberus protocol as the old Flex 500.

In late 1998, Gamewell introduced the IdentiFlex 610.[3]

In 2001, Gamewell replaced the IdentiFlex 630 with the IdentiFlex 632.[4]

The 610VE voice evacuation system was also introduced in 2001. In early 2002, CAB-VE voice evacuation systems for the IdentiFlex 632 were introduced.[5]

In 2003, shortly after being acquired by Honeywell, the IdentiFlex 602 was introduced.[6]

In late 2004, the Flex 620 was discontinued.[7]

In October 2004, the IdentiFlex 602SS and 610SS were introduced. They were the first panels to use the SmartScan™ protocol (Gamewell's version of CLIP). This allowed them to utilize compatible System Sensor detectors and modules. The IF632 and IF650 series were also given SmartScan capable models.[8]

In December 2004, Gamewell introduced the IdentiFlex 602VE voice evacuation panels.[9] These panels used the XP95 protocol.[10]

Between 2009 and 2010, after becoming Gamewell-FCI in 2005, the IdentiFlex 610, 632 and 650 series panels and their SmartScan equivalents were replaced by the E3 Series.[11] The IF602 and IF602SS were finally replaced with the S3 Series in 2015.[12][13]
