History

The AFP-1010 was introduced in early 1992 as a cheaper alternative to the AM-2020.[1] The AFP-1010 used the same LIB-200 SLC interface modules as the AM-2020.

Later in 1992, the AFP-200 was introduced as a smaller alternative to the AFP-1010 with one built-in SLC.[2]

The AFP-400 was introduced in 1996 with 2 built-in SLCs.[3] The AFP-400 could also be used with the conventional System 5000 modules.[4]

The AFP-300 was introduced around 1997 as a single-SLC version of the AFP-400.[5] Like the AFP-400, the AFP-300 could be used with System 5000 modules. The AFP-1010 was also expanded to support 4 SLCs around this time.

In 1999, the AFP-100 was introduced.[6] The AFP-100 was a rebranded Fire-Lite MS-9200.

In November 2006, all AFP panels except the AFP-200 were discontinued.[7] The AFP-200 was discontinued between 2007 and 2008.[8]
