Talk:System Sensor SpectrAlert series

Does this article need to exist?

I'm not exactly sure of the necessity of this article, to me it seems a little redundant since each series page has a link to the previous series, maybe we just need to have a page displaying purely links to the series, like a series overview? Joseph (talk) 16:36, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

This article is definitely redundant, there's already the article for the advances, this article should be changed to one about the original/classic SpectrAlerts. CaptainChris (talk) 17:04, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
I agree, changing it to be the legacy SpectrAlert series would be a good idea. HenBasket (talk) 17:46, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
We gotta decide wether to call the article. Examples: SpectrAlert series, SpectrAlert classic series, legacy SpectrAlert series. The reason is due to the disagreemnt of what to call the original SpectrAlerts. CaptainChris (talk) 18:31, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
I think "System Sensor SpectrAlert series" would be the most appropriate name, but there could also be a redirect from "System Sensor SpectrAlert Classic series" and a notice at the beginning of the page that reads "Not to be confused with SpectrAlert Advance series" Mhgk (talk) 19:32, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
That sounds like the best course of action, especially since the “Classic” suffix is a name given by enthusiasts and not officially recognized by Honeywell. HenBasket (talk) 19:44, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
I have went ahead and moved the page to System Sensor SpectrAlert Series and changed the image and text to a starter CaptainChris (talk) 17:58, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
