Fire-Lite Alarms Inc. (stylized as Fire•Lite) is an American brand of fire alarm systems based in Northford, Connecticut. Fire-Lite manufacturers non-proprietary fire alarm systems[1], which means that all programming software and documentation is freely available online and all parts and equipment can be purchased by end consumers. Fire-Lite is currently a subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc.

History

Founded in 1952 by Edward and Herbert Levy[2], the company originally installed and services fire alarm systems for the first decade. In 1962, Fire-Lite discontinued their installation and inspection services and shifted their brand to manufacturing fire alarm systems and supporting equipment.

In 1984, Fire-Lite was acquired by Pittway Corporation.[3]
