Apollo is a UK-based fire alarm company that manufactures smoke detectors, call points, VADs, and more recently, pull stations and magnetic door holders.
XP95 Protocol
The XP95 protocol is an open protocol used in the UK and internationally, replacing Apollo’s older Series 90 protocol in 1992[2]. XP95 uses a seven bit binary addressing system, allowing for a total of 127 addressable devices on a single loop[3]. In UL markets, XP95 is sold as XP95A, often relabeled by companies using it under their own branding. XP95A devices use a different type code from XP95 devices, making them incompatible with panels with XP95 loops, and visa versa[4]. Notable brands that use XP95A are Gamewell (which has since merged with FCI to form Gamewell-FCI), Firecom, Mircom, and National Time & Signal Co..
