Simplex's IDNAC (Intelligent Device Notification Appliance Circuit) technology is a proprietary communication protocol used in the ES series panels that support it. It's designed to enhance the reliability and efficiency of notification by allowing for advanced communication between devices on the notification appliance circuit (NAC).

IDNAC enables bidirectional communication between the fire alarm control panel and devices connected to the notification appliance circuit. This means that devices such as horns, strobes, speakers, and other notification appliances can provide feedback to the control panel, allowing for better monitoring and diagnostics. With IDNAC, you can run a Self-Test which automatically or manually can test each and every notification appliance to check for full functionality and to make sure the device is working properly. This includes detecting faults such as wiring issues, device malfunctions, or tampering, which allows for proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
